Area and volume are different physical quantities.

Area is the quantity that expresses the extent of a two-dimensional figure in the plane.

Volume is a quantitative characteristic of the space occupied by a body, structure or substance.

In phonetics, their meanings are as follows:

English — square meters to cubic meters

Spanish — conversión de metros cuadrados a metros cúbicos

Portuguese — metros quadrados a metros cúbicos

French — mètres carrés en mètres cubes

German — Quadratmeter in Kubikmeter

Italian — metri quadrati in metri cubi

Polish — metrów kwadratowych do metrów sześciennych

Turkish — metrekare için metreküp

The phonetic and physical meaning of different quantities is very interesting!
